Terms of Service
These terms govern your access to and use of FamiliFlow. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
Last updated: April 7, 2026
The agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and FamiliFlow. If you use FamiliFlow on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
FamiliFlow provides online tools to create and collaborate on family trees and related records. We may add, change, or discontinue features to improve the product or comply with law. We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity under your account unless you can show it was not your fault. You must be old enough to enter a binding contract in your jurisdiction (and meet any minimum age for the service in your region).
Plans, billing, and taxes
We offer free and paid subscription plans (for example Pro and Premium) with features and limits described on our Pricing page. Paid subscriptions are billed through our payment provider at the prices shown at checkout, plus applicable taxes where required.
Subscriptions renew automatically for the term you select (for example monthly or annual) until you cancel in accordance with these Terms and our Refund Policy. You are responsible for keeping your payment method current.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Violate applicable laws or infringe others’ intellectual property or privacy rights;
- Upload malware, probe or attack our systems, or attempt unauthorized access;
- Harass, abuse, or impersonate others, or upload unlawful or excessively offensive content;
- Scrape, resell, or misuse the service in a way that harms users or FamiliFlow;
- Circumvent technical limits, billing, or access controls.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules or pose risk to the service.
User content and families
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant FamiliFlow a worldwide license to host, process, back up, and display that content solely to operate and improve the service for you and collaborators you invite. You confirm you have the rights needed for the content you add (including photos and information about living relatives where required).
Family trees may be managed by owners or admins with roles described in the product. Their actions may affect visibility or editing rights for members of that family.
Intellectual property
FamiliFlow’s name, branding, software, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors. Except for the limited right to use the service under these Terms, no rights are granted to you.
Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the maximum extent permitted by law. We disclaim implied warranties such as merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement where disclaimers are allowed.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FamiliFlow and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) fifty euros (€50), except where liability cannot be limited by law (for example death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer rights).
Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify FamiliFlow against third-party claims arising from your content, your misuse of the service, or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our intentional misconduct.
Termination
You may stop using FamiliFlow at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if we must comply with law, or if we discontinue the service with reasonable notice where feasible. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms) will survive termination.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Cyprus have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you have as a consumer in your country of residence.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where your explicit consent is required by law.
